Colleen E. Grosch and Scott M. Blevins, both of Alexandria, Va., were married July 2 at the Forest Park Jewel Box.

The bride is the daughter of Cynthia and Albert Grosch of St. Charles, Mo., and the groom is the son of Cynthia Blevins of Canfield and the late Robert Blevins.

The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Sandra LaRouche. The reception took place at Lumen Private Event Space. After a honeymoon in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, they live in Washington, D.C.

The bride wore a sweetheart mermaid gown with minimal beading and ruching on the bodice.

The bride’s maid of honor was Allison Chestnut, who wore an island-pink gown, as did the bridesmaids, Kristy Knoblauch, Michelle Goldsborough, Rachel Edington, Kim Prost and Ashley Preston.

Todd Blevins served as best man for his brother. Groomsmen were Patrick Grosch, the bride’s brother, and Dean Yeropoli, Patrick Barry, Casey Croysdale and David Ruda. Junior groomsman was Ethan Blevins, the groom’s nephew, and Aiden Blevins, the groom’s godson, was ring bearer.

The bride graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism from University of Kansas and a master’s in education from University of South Carolina. She is assistant director of ACPA-College Student Educators International in Washington.

The groom earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Miami University and a master’s in educational leadership from Ohio State University. He is an assistant director at George Mason University.
