Wedding vows were exchanged Sept. 3 in St. Patrick Church in Youngstown by Ashley Patrice Slavens of Youngstown and Brian Edward Brindle of Boardman.

The bride is the daughter of Brian and Kathleen Slavens of Poland. The groom is the son of Charles Brindle and Denise Brindle, both of Boardman.

The afternoon ceremony was performed by the Rev. Edward Noga. A reception took place at The Embassy in Youngstown.

The bride wore a strapless organza gown with an empire waist, sweetheart neckline, beaded sash and chapel train.

In cranberry were the maid of honor, Alexandra Lynch, and matron of honor, Courtney Baker. Bridesmaids were Megan Brindle, the groom’s sister; Trisha Minnie and Emilee Soldo, the bride’s cousins; and Mariah Souder and Anthony Burrus.

Serving as best men were Todd Baird Jr. and Grant Brown. Groomsmen were Brian Slavens Jr., the bride’s brother, and Kevin McCrea, Matt Nolfi, William Sutton and Joshua Susany.

The bride graduated with a degree in marketing management from Youngstown State University. She is director of game-day operations for Youngstown Phantoms Hockey.

The groom is attending YSU, working toward a degree in business administration. He is showroom manager at Phantom Fireworks in Youngstown.

The couple are planning a December honeymoon to St. Thomas and will make their home in Canfield.
