CHARLESTON, S.C.

Warren JFK graduate Jason Kokrak fired his second straight round of 5 under par 67 and has a share of the lead at the season-ending PGA Nationwide Tour Championship at Daniel Island Club.

Kokrak, who is fourth on the Nationwide Tour’s money list and assured of getting his PGA Tour card for 2012, is tied with Daniel Chopra of Sweden for the lead.

Chopra fired a tournament-record 10 under par 62 on Friday.

Kokrak told pgatour.com he’s been having a fun week.

“There’s really no pressure this week. I’ve got a lot of family and friends in town so it’s a nice support group for me. It’s a fun week for me.”

Kokrak, the Tour’s longest hitter, has been using his distance off the tee to his advantage at the 7,446-yard Daniel Island Club.

“It’s a long golf course and it plays long in the windy conditions,” he told pgatour.com. “I really hit the driver a lot better today and put myself in the fairway. I made a lot of good putts yesterday but today my ball-striking was there.”

Roberto Castro is at 8-under 136 after his second straight round of 4-under 68.

Scotland’s Richie Ramsay shot a 1-over 72 to hold his two-stroke lead after the second round, in which only four players reached the halfway point under par.

Ramsay birdied No. 11 before a wayward drive led to a bogey at the 18th to drop him to a 5-under total of 137 at Valderrama.

Gregory Havret had a mixed day — recording a seven for the second straight day after losing his drive at the 11th — but his 71 left him in second ahead of Sergio Garcia, who shot a second straight 70 to sit three strokes behind in third.
