struthers Mayoral race

Two candidates are in the running for mayor. Independent Phil DeMarco Jr. is challenging Democratic incumbent Terry Stocker, who’s running for his second term.

PHIL DEMARCO (I)

Age: 49.

Home: 45 Clingan Road.

Education: Struthers High School, Youngstown State University.

Employment: Manager, Horizon Management Inc.

Family: Son, Phillip M. DeMarco.

Priority: Financial solvency, fair code enforcement, working closely with safety services, improving infrastructure.

TERRY STOCKER (D)

Age: 63.

Home: 510 Brandon Ave.

Education: Struthers High School.

Employment: Full-time mayor of Struthers.

Family: Wife, Renee; children Katie, Travis, Candice, Terra and Brittany.

Priority: Maintaining adequate city services while retaining a balanced budget. Do more with less, a cleaner and safer community with no burden on taxpayers.
