Canfield Township will take your leaves

Canfield Township will sponsor a Fall Leaf Collection program, beginning Nov. 3.

Township residents can pick up five compostable paper bags free of charge at the Township Hall, 21 S. Broad Street. Additional bags can be purchased in quantities of five for $2.

For purposes of this two-week leaf pickup, the township has been divided into quadrants following state Routes 46 and 224. Each quadrant will be assigned the following pickup days:

• The Northwest (north of SR 224 and west of SR 46) will have pickup on Oct. 31.

• The Northeast (north of SR 224 and east of SR 46) will have pickup on Nov. 1.

• The Southeast (south of SR 224 and east of SR 46) will have pickup on Nov. 2.

• The Southwest (south of SR 224 and west of SR 46) will have pickup on Nov. 3.

Collections will occur between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Residents must have their leaves in compostable paper bags at the curb on the assigned day of pickup no later than 8 a.m.
