Oct. 6

Arrest: Police responded to an argument in the 4000 block of Hillman Way, where they took into custody Anthony T. Harrison, 21, of 4020 Hillman. He was accused of failing to appear in court to face a larceny charge.

Aggravated menacing: An employee of a Market Street restaurant alleged the owner had threatened to harm him.

Aggravated menacing: A worker for a South Avenue business told police a co-worker had threatened her with a knife.

Assault: A man reported having been struck on the left side of his head at a South Avenue eatery. He suffered a swollen left eye.

Theft: Thirty compact discs and a car stereo were missing from a vehicle in the 7400 block of West Boulevard.

Robbery: Kendra L. Hazlett, 21, and Nicole L. Degenaro, 29, both of 517 N. Main St., Poland, were charged with robbery and theft, respectively, after baby items were stolen from Kmart, 1209 Boardman-Poland Road. Hazlett fought with, pushed and pinned against a door an employee who had tried to detain her, police said.

Oct. 7

Arrest: Officers in the 7400 block of Market Street picked up 65-year-old Charles W. Moore Sr., 2208 Canfield Road, Youngstown, who was wanted on a drug-related charge.

Criminal damaging: Four dents were found in a car in the 7500 block of Market Street.

Menacing: Two people in the 400 block of Garver Drive reported having been threatened.

Theft: Marianne Calabrese, 46, of 1621 Homewood Ave., Youngstown, was charged in the theft of a women’s hat from Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Drugs: Ryan J. Theodore, 32, of 633 W. Martin St., East Palestine, was charged with possession of a drug-abuse instrument when, police said, a syringe was found during a traffic stop on Glenwood Avenue.

Oct. 8

Theft: Ten articles of clothing were stolen from Kmart.

Criminal mischief: Someone on a weekly basis has been damaging equipment at a construction site near the dead-end of Erskine Avenue.

Aggravated menacing: Two people in a Forest Park Drive apartment told police they looked out a window to see a neighbor pointing a gun at them.

Theft: A Glenwood Avenue woman noticed an automated-teller-machine card missing from her purse.

Theft: Three people reportedly stole a baby stroller and 15 other items from Babies “R” Us, The Baby Super Store, 1240 Doral Drive. The theft came to $575.

Assault/criminal mischief: Three juveniles near Oakridge Drive reported having been struck and thrown to the ground during a fight. Someone also tossed eggs at a nearby vehicle.

Arrest: Police pulled over a car on Erskine Avenue, where they took 25-year-old Cherry S. Stone into custody. Stone, of 312 W. Midlothian Blvd., Youngstown, was wanted on a misdemeanor warrant from Trumbull County.

Theft: A woman discovered her wallet missing from a shopping cart at a South Avenue store.

Criminal damaging: The main door to a business in the 4800 block of Southern Boulevard was dented, likely by a sledgehammer.

Aggravated menacing: A Campbell man in the 6000 block of Youngstown-Poland Road told police another man threatened to shoot him.

Arrest: Police conducting a traffic stop on Boardman-Poland Road charged 29-year-old Nakkia L. Calhoun, 816 E. Philadelphia Ave., Youngstown, with endangering children and obstructing official business. None of four children were in child-restraint devices or seat belts, and Calhoun provided a false name and date of birth, a report said.

Theft: A city boy, 14, faced charges of theft and obstructing official business after $152 worth of clothing was stolen from Macy’s in the Southern Park Mall. The teen also gave a phony name, police said.

Weapon: A traffic stop near Hillman Way resulted in felony charges of carrying a concealed weapon and being a convicted felon with a firearm against 23-year-old Aaron T. Profanchik Sr., 134 Halleck St., Youngstown, when, police said, a loaded .38-caliber revolver was found partially concealed.

Oct. 9

Criminal damaging: An apartment window was deliberately broken in the 5000 block of Forest Park Drive.

Theft: Bradley J. Ronci, 26, of 5635 London Drive, Youngstown, faced charges of theft and possession of criminal tools after three video-game accessories were stolen from Walmart. Ronci also had a set of wire cutters he had used in the theft, a report showed.

Drugs: Officers responded to a possible stolen computer in the 6100 block of Market Street before charging Jessica M. Dellick and Daniel T. Dellick, 22 and 26, and both of 34 Crestline Place, Boardman, with possession of drug-abuse instruments. Found were needles and a spoon associated with drug use, a report said.

Arrest: Grover Radney Jr., 49, of 571 Bennington Ave., Youngstown, was picked up in the 7400 block of Market Street on a Hubbard warrant accusing him of failure to appear in court. The original charge was failure to pay income taxes.

Theft: Two firearms were missing from a residence in the 700 block of Ronlee Drive.

Menacing: A Glenwood Avenue boy said he received a threatening online message.

Aggravated menacing: An Applecrest Court girl reported a neighbor with a dog approached her and several other youngsters in a threatening manner.

Menacing: A South Schenley Avenue woman said another woman kicked the accuser’s baby stroller, then threatened to harm her.

Aggravated menacing: A Forest Park Drive woman reported a neighbor threatened to kill her.

Harassment: A Southwoods Drive man said he got two unwanted calls from someone claiming to be in prison.

Unauthorized use of a vehicle: A Struthers woman told officers a Hopkins Road man borrowed but refused to return her 2005 Chevrolet Impala.

Recovered property: A 2011 GMC Sierra truck was found in Youngstown after a Basil Avenue man had reported it stolen.

Oct. 10

Theft: A woman reported several pieces of jewelry, including a $7,500 engagement ring, missing from her Melrose Avenue home.

Harassment: A Wildwood Drive man told authorities of receiving 50 such text and voice-mail messages a day over several months.

Theft: Two men stole a $225 pair of eyeglass frames from Lens Crafters, 265 Boardman-Canfield Road.

Theft: A woman discovered $167 and numerous credit and debit cards missing while at the Southern Park Mall.

Harassment: A Bristlewood Drive woman reported such text messages.

Oct. 17

Breaking and entering: Authorities charged Daniel L. Beck, 19, of 134 Clifton Drive, Boardman, with breaking and entering and attempted burglary after a Mathews Road man saw that his garage had been entered and a door to his residence was damaged. Six golf-cart batteries were missing, a report showed.

Theft: Virginia A. Wise, 32, of 19 Coitsville Road, Campbell, faced misdemeanor charges of theft and receiving stolen property after children’s clothing and toys were taken from Dollar General, 5953 South Ave., Wise also had a gift bag with items thought to have been stolen from another Dollar General store, police said.

Arrest: Frank J. Medvec, 46, of 2188 Gregory Drive, Youngstown, was charged with obstructing official business when, police said, he refused to identify himself to officers who stopped him on a bicycle near Shields Road.

Theft: A 52-inch flat-screen TV and $300 were missing from an apartment in the 8200 block of Southern Boulevard.

Identity theft: A Euclid Boulevard man found out his debit card was used without permission to make $531 worth of fraudulent online purchases.

Identity fraud: A Market Street man reported his credit card had been used without authorization to make three purchases totaling $351.

Theft: A woman reported a gym bag, a set of keys and a work uniform missing from her locker at a Boardman-Canfield Road business.

Possible arson: Police assisted firefighters who responded to burned notebook paper discovered on a patio at an apartment in the 7400 block of East Huntington Drive.

Theft: A man reported his wallet stolen at a Doral Drive store.

Oct. 18

Theft: Twenty-seven Sony PlayStation games and a related item were stolen from a Market Street motel room.

Breaking and entering: Someone broke into Pizza Joe’s, 6810 Market St., through the front door, though nothing appeared to have been disturbed or was missing.

Arrest: Police conducting a traffic stop on Market Street took 20-year-old Benjamin K. Smith into custody. Smith, of 457 Coitsville Ave., Campbell, was wanted on a Trumbull County warrant.

Theft: About $500 worth of jewelry was missing from a home in the 4000 block of Hopkins Road.

Arrest: A traffic stop on Glenwood Avenue resulted in the arrest of 49-year-old Lee C. Kimble, 273 N. Heights Ave., Youngstown, on a warrant from that city charging him with having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

Theft: An $1,800 wedding set and 10 Vicodin tablets were taken from a residence in the 1800 block of Oles Avenue.

Harassment: A South Avenue man reported getting threatening calls.

Breaking and entering: Someone entered Cocca’s Pizza, 7185 Market St., via the front door and removed an undisclosed sum of money.

Oct. 19

Identity theft: A Squirrel Hill Drive woman realized her identity had been compromised after discovering $387 missing from her account.

Misuse of a credit card: A Becky Court man learned his stolen debit card was used to make $350 worth of unauthorized purchases.

Attempted theft by deception: An elderly Squirrel Hill Drive woman told authorities she received a letter from someone in Portugal claiming she had won a drawing but first needed to pay a $4,100 processing fee. She knew it was a scam and lost no money, a report said.

Theft: Michelle M. Roman, 46, of 380 Argyle Ave., Boardman, was charged with stealing about $50 worth of cosmetics and vitamins from Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Attempted auto theft: A Beechwood Drive woman saw that someone had entered her car, presumably in an effort to steal it.

Arrest: Weathersfield Township authorities handed 23-year-old Danielle M. Melnek, 4829 Pine Trace St., Austintown, to township police. She was accused of violating a protection order.

Breaking and entering: Someone pried open a rear door to a business in the 7000 block of Market Street, though nothing appeared to have been stolen.

Oct. 20

Theft: An official with a township hospital told police a patient had four medical patches removed from his body.

Criminal damaging/intimidation: A Melrose Avenue woman who discovered a flat tire on her vehicle alleged a neighbor has been peering in her windows, apparently in retaliation for her having filed a police report.

Arson: Michael E. Roddy, 23, of 34 Hawthorne St., Struthers, faced a felony arson count after police responded to a vehicle fire on Applecrest Court and found the car fully engulfed. Two other vehicles were damaged because of the fire, a report showed. Roddy later surrendered.

Theft: Police booked 47-year-old Caroline D. Williams, 851 Detroit Ave., Youngstown, after shirts and pairs of shoes were stolen from Kmart, 1209 Boardman-Poland Road.

Menacing: An employer with a DeBartolo Place business reported an employee she had terminated made threats against her.

Burglary: To a second-floor apartment in the 900 block of Washington Boulevard, from which Xbox and Wii game systems were removed.

Counterfeit: Someone tried to pass a phony $50 bill at a Shell True North gas station, 950 Boardman-Poland Road.

Identity fraud: A Columbiana man using his automated-teller-machine card at a Boardman-Canfield bank discovered four fraudulent transactions totaling $1,500.

Arrest: Charity A. Hudson, 24, of 160 Shadyside Drive, Boardman, was picked up on a warrant from Niles accusing her of failing to appear in court.

Arrest: Police on Wildwood Drive took into custody 58-year-old Richard G. McDowell, 69 Wildwood, on charges of obstructing official business and resisting arrest. He was released on a summons.

Oct. 21

Drugs: A traffic stop on South Avenue led to the arrest of 23-year-old Alexander T. Oliver, 123 W. Earle Ave., Youngstown, on a charge of trafficking in marijuana when, police said, he had several bags of the drug packaged for sale. Oliver also was cited on charges of operating a vehicle impaired and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

Theft: A computer and numerous tools were stolen from Foxy’s Auto Repair Inc., 4200 Simon Road. The loss was estimated at $6,140.

Theft: A man reported the theft of several tools while at a Market Street car dealership.

Fraud: A Green Glen Drive man discovered seven unauthorized charges to his wife’s debit card.

Theft: Dawn E. Lee, 36, of 2838 Dearborn St., Youngstown, was charged in the theft of 19 DVDs from Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Drug paraphernalia: Police charged a 16-year-old township boy with possession of drug paraphernalia and cited him on a charge of underage possession of tobacco after saying he had a pipe with suspected marijuana residue and cigarettes in his backpack. The teen was released to the custody of his sister.

Oct. 22

Arrest: Cassandra D. Armour, 37, of 4020 Hillman Way, Boardman, surrendered on a charge of contributing to the unruliness of a minor.

Theft: Roughly three tons of scrap-metal tubing was taken from the George Mitchell Co., 557 McClurg Road.

Theft: A woman reported her cellphone stolen while at a business in the 7300 block of Southern Boulevard.

Aggravated menacing: A man at a Market Street motel told authorities another man threatened to harm him, then was seen holding a gun.

Theft: Two Youngstown boys, 12 and 14, faced charges of theft and obstructing official business after an air gun was stolen from Walmart. The two lied about their addresses, their relationship to each other and other information, police said.

Theft: A woman at a Market Street restaurant discovered her cellphone missing.

Arrest: Robert M. Sudimak, 44, of 127 S. Main St., Youngstown, was arrested after police pulled him over near Southern Boulevard. Sudimak was wanted on warrants accusing him of failing to appear in court on theft and drug charges.

Arrest: Police cited 56-year-old Randall A. Renstrom, 6717 Lockwood Blvd., Boardman, after saying he had followed a cruiser too closely. Renstrom faced additional charges of fleeing and eluding and intimidation when, authorities said, he failed to stop, then threatened an officer.

Drugs: Officers on a traffic stop charged Joseph Micco, 7348 Brookwood Road, Boardman, with possession of drug paraphernalia and crack cocaine after saying they found two cigarette packs with numerous suspected crack pipes, as well as items that tested positive for crack. He also was cited on a charge of operating a vehicle impaired.

Arrest: Stephen T. Hurtuk of 7688 Spring Park Drive, Boardman, was charged with operating a vehicle impaired after police stopped his car.

Arrest: Cameron D. Anderson, 22, of 399 Melrose Ave., Boardman, faced a charge of operating a vehicle impaired.

Breaking and entering: Someone entered an abandoned building in the 20 block of Boardman-Poland Road, possibly through a rear window. Damage included broken glass and spray-painted walls.

Oct. 23

Arrest: Tina M. Gaida, 42, of 4225 Chester Drive, Boardman, was taken into custody in the 5200 block of Market Street on a misdemeanor warrant charging her with contributing to the unruliness of a child.

Arrest: Police conducting a traffic stop on Market Street took a 17-year-old Youngstown boy into custody on a pick-up order from the Martin P. Joyce Juvenile Justice Center in Youngstown. The original charge was carrying a concealed weapon.

Arrest: A traffic stop on South Avenue resulted in a charge of operating a vehicle impaired against Irecka Spencer, 19, of 346 Falls Ave., Youngstown.

Theft: Police booked 29-year-old Michael J. Malagisi, 3838 Cumberland Drive, Youngstown, and 35-year-old Kimberly M. Slipski, 16847 Heiser Road, Berlin Center, after eight video games were stolen from Walmart. Both were released on summonses.

Menacing: A man in a check-out line at a Market Street store said a woman behind him threatened to beat him up.

Theft: A Canfield man reported $900 stolen from his room at a Market Street motel.

Counterfeit: Someone used a fake $20 bill at Sam’s Club, 6361 South Ave.

Theft: A woman stole $30 worth of groceries from Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive.

Oct. 24

Possible arson: Police assisted firefighters with a house fire in the 4500 block of Southern Boulevard. The cause of the blaze remained under investigation.
