YOUNGSTOWN

The Mahoning County Suicide Prevention Coalition is offering a free breakfast training session Tuesday for area clergy to raise awareness about suicide prevention. The registration deadline is Friday. Call Michele Petrello at the Mahoning County Board office at 330-746-2959.

The event is 7:30 to 10 a.m. at the Mahoning County Children Services Board, 222 West Federal St. Area clergy, their staff and youth group leaders are invited to attend. The training is sponsored by the Mahoning County Mental Health Board, Help Hotline Crisis Center and the Mahoning County Suicide Prevention Coalition. Free parking is available behind the Mahoning County Children Services Board Building.

Holiday Craft Show

Shepherd of the Valley – Niles, 1500 McKinley Ave., is having its 17th annual Holiday Craft Show on Nov. 11 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Some 30 vendors will offer crafts, jewelry, Christmas decorations and food items.

Health expo offered

The Mahoning County Anointed Faith Walkers Committee and Apostle Denis M. Robinson are offering a Community Health Expo on Nov. 12 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Everlife Worship Center, 474 Early Road, Youngstown.

This event is targeted toward seniors and minority groups living in the Youngstown area; however, all are welcome. Objectives of the fair include: Increasing health awareness and disease prevention for seniors and minority groups by providing health screenings, educational information and related activities; increasing awareness of local health services and resources; motivating participants to make positive health behavior changes; and teaching self-care practices.

Agencies or businesses are invited to showcase services at this event by providing educational information, screenings or health awareness activities. Participating organizations are asked to donate a basket for a closing drawing. For more information, call Monica Wallace at 330-261-6639.
