The Nevels Sisters to release album

The Nevels Sisters, the gospel vocal group that hails from Youngstown, will release their new album, “It’s My Time,” on Tuesday.

The 11-track record highlights the Nevels’ unique brand of gospel, dubbed “new traditional thump.” Songs include “Power in the Blood” with Grammy Award-winning producer and gospel star J. Moss, and “He’s AAA Able,” a collaboration with chart-topping Christian hip-hop artist Lecrae and PK.

The album’s first single release and signature song, “Company,” recently was listed by Nielsen’s Broadcast Data Systems as Most Added at gospel radio with significant airplay in major markets such as Atlanta, New York, Houston, Baltimore and Washington, D.C.

The Nevels recently performed at Bishop T.D. Jakes’ Woman Thou Art Loosed conference in Houston; Coco Brother’s Stand One Body 2011 in Atlanta; Radio One’s Unity In The Community in Raleigh, N.C.; and Los Angeles’ Taste of Soul Festival. The act also completed a tour in South Africa with Bishop Hezekiah Walker.
