CANFIELD

Jen Morris, Kendyl Carlisle and Jen Love each scored goals for Canfield. Elena Billy and Kaylee Buchenic each had assists for the Cardinals (8-7-3), who led 2-0 at halftime. Olivia Governor had five saves for Canfield, which will host either Cardinal Mooney or Poland in Saturday’s 7 p.m. district final. Elaine Moldovan made 11 saves for Lakeview (16-2).

Springfield 2,

St. Thomas Aquinas 1

NEW MIDDLETOWN

Andrea Zubick and Hailey Sullivan scored goals and Lexy Zubick had an assist for Springfield (14-3). Jillian Tabaka made 10 saves for the Tigers, who will host Lake Center Christian in Saturday’s district final. Katelyn Johnstin scored for the Knights.

Lake Center 3, South Range 0

NORTH LIMA

Natalie Rostedt scored two goals and added an assist for Lake Center (11-5-2), which led 2-0 at halftime. Kristin Robinson made three saves for South Range.

Champion 3, LaBrae 0

CHAMPION

Amber Walker scored a goal and added two assists for Champion (12-2-2), which led 1-0 at halftime. Emilee Lipps and Megan Harkins added goals and Kelly Robinson made 15 saves for the Flashes, who will meet Badger in Saturday’s district final. Lindsay Jaros had seven saves for the Vikings (9-9).

Badger 1, Rootstown 0

KINSMAN

Sophomore Jennilyn Krumpe scored a breakaway goal with about 25 minutes remaining to lift Badger (15-2-4), which will meet Champion for the district championship Saturday at 7 p.m. at a site to be determined. Krumpe now has 10 goals. Rootstown, seeded third, is 10-6-2. Badger goalie Izabella Armstrong had 17 saves.

Richmond Edison 1,

ST. CLAIRSVILLE

The Wildcats defeated the Beavers for the district crown. Details were not reported.

VOLLEYBALL

Lordstown 20-19-11

KINSMAN

Lea Whitmer had 17 assists, Katie Fife made 10 kills, Abby Riffee had 13 digs, 17 points and two aces and McKenzie Garland had two blocks for Ridge, which will meet Windham in Saturday’s 2:30 p.m. district final at Badger High School. For Lordstown, Sarah Cash had 10 kills, 14 digs, 15 blocks and two aces and Melody Taylor had 17 assists.

Windham won the other semifinal against Ledgemont, 24-26, 28-26, 25-21, 17-25, 15-9.
