Newton Falls man loses control of car, hits 92-year-old neighbor

NEWTON FALLS — Police cited Brian McCarty, 27, of Garfield Street on Wednesday for reckless operation of a motor vehicle after he ran over his 92-year-old neighbor’s legs while backing out of his driveway at 1:28 p.m.

McCarty told police he veered into his neighbor’s yard and hit the neighbor, who was mowing his lawn at the time. The victim refused medical attention.
