Crown Theater Productions will present an original drama titled “The Delivery …From Terror to Hope,” at Main Street Theater, 5 N. Main St., this weekend and next.

The story, set in a small town, details how a tragedy can affect many lives. After the tragedy, a terrible discovery and a mysterious delivery transform the lives of those affected in an unexpected way.

“The Delivery” was conceived by Don Arthurs and written by Jim and Lynette Couchenour and Carla Sudkosd. It features the music of local composer Andrew Lawlor.

“We’re excited to use Andrew’s music as a backdrop to this show, which tells a story that is universal” said Jim Couchenour, the show’s producer. “We’ve combined sound, video and an incredible stage set to tell a story of loss, mystique and transformation.”

Couchenour called “The Delivery” the most ambitious play the theater ever produced.

Sukosd is the director. The cast includes Leigh Ann Kocanjer, Bridget McKenzie, Curtis Tharp, Andrew Brockway, Hudson Hartley, Deanna Arthurs, Chloe Housteau, Olivia Sukosd, Renee Amacher, Len Derico, Courtney Auman and Couchenour.

Curtain times are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $10 at the door or at brownpapertickets.com.
