Transit levy

Cost: Owner of $100,000 home: $17.50 per year.

Raises: $1.7 million annually.

Details: 0.5-mill, five-year, additional levy to continue operation of Niles Trumbull Transit, a public busing service that will cease operations Jan. 1, 2012.

Fairgrounds levy

Cost: Owner of a $100,000 home: $7.04 in 2012.

Raises: $785,931

Details: 0.23-mill, one-year, additional levy to make improvements at the fairgrounds, such as repair of grandstand and replacement of roofs.
