The J schedules Night in Babylon

A Night in Babylon, a celebration of Iraqi-Jewish community heritage, will take place Monday at the Jewish Community Center, 505 Gypsy Lane.

The evening will include an authentic Iraqi-Jewish meal and a presentation on the history and culture of the community.

After dinner lecturer Joseph Braude will speak about Jewish Baghdad as his mother knew it. Braude is an internationally acclaimed journalist and author, as well as an expert on the Middle East.

Dinner will begin at 6 p.m., and the lecture, at 7. The cost is $23 per member and $25 for nonmembers. The lecture only is free.
