Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. The meal includes salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. Cost is $6.50, and containers will be available for takeout orders. No reservations are necessary. Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $6.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $5 a dozen. Orders should be placed early from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches will be available beginning at 11 a.m. Friday.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order, call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $5 per bag of one dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

St. Anthony Church, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will sell pizza and other Italian treats. Orders may be placed by calling 330-746-9577 from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 1 p.m.

St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. Cost is $5 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Frozen pirogi will be sold while supplies last. Patrons are asked to provide their containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $4.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $5.50 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Walk-in orders will be available. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

SATURDAY

Bristolville United Methodist Church, routes 45 and 88, will sponsor a roast beef dinner, featuring home-cooked food and a unique salad bar, from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children 5 to 12 and free for those 4 and under. Masury United Methodist Church will sponsor a roast beef dinner, served buffet-style, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Brookfield Fire Hall, 774 state Route 7. The cost is $8.50 for adults, $4 for children 3 to 12 and free for kids 2 and under. North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will offer a breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. The all-you-can eat breakfast or brunch will be available for a donation and will include eggs, pancakes, French toast, sausage, potatoes, homemade rolls, sausage gravy and biscuits, peppers and onions, coffee, orange juice and other beverages. Friends of Transit will have an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner from noon to 5 p.m. at St. Patrick Church, 1410 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown. Tickets are being sold in advance and at the door. Adult tickets are $10, and children 6 to 10 are $5; those 5 and under eat free. Dessert, bread, salad and beverage are included in the meal. Takeouts will be available.

Knights of Columbus Council 3930 will serve spaghetti dinners from noon to 5 p.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Center, 4500 Norquest Blvd., Austintown. Dinners include meatballs, tossed salad, bread, butter, dessert and a beverage. Dinners are $6.50 for adults, $3.50 for children 6 to 9 and free for kids 5 and under. There also will be a 50-50 raffle.

Poland Masonic Temple, 7685 Youngstown-Pittsburgh Road, will serve a turkey dinner from noon until sold out. The cost is $9 for adult, $5 for children 6 to 12 and free for those 5 and under. The price includes beverage and homemade pumpkin pie. Carryouts will be available.

TAKING ORDERS

Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave., North Lima, is taking orders for homemade apple dumplings. Happy Hearts Junior Tamburitzans will take orders until Nov. 9 for homemade apple or cheese strudels for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The frozen strudels are $8 each and come with baking instructions.
