Crash closes one side of I-70 near Columbus

JACKSONTOWN, Ohio (AP) — Ohio troopers say a crash on Interstate 70 east of Columbus is expected to keep one side of the highway closed for hours.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a semi hauling produce rolled over early today, spilling the truck’s diesel fuel onto the westbound lanes of the highway.

Troopers tell multiple media outlets that I-70 going west toward Columbus is shut down near the Licking-Muskingum County line and could remain that way until 1 p.m. Traffic is being detoured.

Authorities say the truck’s driver was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
