YSU LB Deonta Tate no longer with team


Youngstown State senior linebacker Deonta Tate is no longer with the team, a team representative confirmed Tuesday afternoon.

Tate (6-1, 245) played in six games as a backup linebacker and special teams player this season, recording two tackles. He started the first eight games last season before losing his starting spot and has played in 35 games in his four-year career, with 17 starts.

According to Tate's Twitter account, he met with the coaches on Monday afternoon and was kicked off the team for his "conduct."
