Officials: Turkish death toll exceeds 400


ERCIS, Turkey (AP) — Officials say the death toll in the powerful earthquake that hit eastern Turkey is now 432.

The prime minister's office today also said 1,352 people were injured in Sunday's 7.2-magnitude quake.

Earlier, rescuers pulled out a 2-week-old baby girl, her mother and grandmother alive from the rubble of an apartment building. The quake has toppled some 2,000 buildings in the mainly Kurdish area.
