Home sales in the Valley were mixed in September

Home sales in the Mahoning Valley were mixed in September, according to statistics from the Youngstown-Columbiana Association of Realtors.
There were 167 homes sold in Mahoning County in September, up slightly from 165 during the same month last year. In Trumbull County, home sales decreased from 159 in September 2010 to 128 this September; in Columbiana County, sales were relatively unchanged, falling three sales from 56 to 53.
In Mahoning County, the average home price fell from $109,980 to $101,534 this year. In Trumbull, the average jumped from $75,663 to $78,715. In Columbiana, the average selling price dropped from $83,110 in September 2010 to $79,982 this September.
