Gas prices fall
Gas prices fall
YOUNGSTOWN
Gas prices in the Mahoning Valley fell 4 cents to an average of $3.29 a gallon for regular-grade gasoline, according to AAA’s fuel-gauge report. A week ago, the average for a gallon of gas was $3.33. Ohio gas prices are moving even lower.
Monday’s survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express puts the statewide average price for gasoline at $3.26 a gallon, down 11 cents from last week.
Gas remains more expensive at Ohio pumps than it was last year at this time, when regular was averaging $2.79 per gallon. Prices for gas have been following the ups and downs of oil prices, reflecting hot and cold reports about the U.S. economy. Demand for oil depends on the strength of the economy.
