Salem police are looking for a man who stole money from a convenience store while threatening a clerk with a knife.
Police said the man walked into the Circle K store on East State Street about 2 a.m. Saturday. The man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no injuries in the robbery, police said.
ATV accident in Pa.
NEW CASTLE, pa.
A person was seriously injured in an ATV accident on Martin Kelly-Spear Road in Mahoning Township, Pa., according to a Lawrence County Emergency Operations Center dispatcher.
Little information was available. The accident occurred about 2 p.m. Sunday with the injured person taken by helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital, the dispatcher said.

For the third consecutive year, Youngstown State University has been designated a Military Friendly School by G.I. Jobs, a magazine for military personnel transitioning into civilian life.
The 2012 Military Friendly Schools list honors the top 20 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools that are doing the most to embrace America’s military service members and veterans as students.

Guest speakers from the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office and Ohio Adult Probation Sexual Offender Division will talk about offender registration and community notifications.
Howland progress

Howland Township trustees will give a 2011 progress report on the goals and objectives of the township comprehensive plan.
It will be at the regular trustees’ meeting, 4 p.m. Wednesday, at the township administration building, 205 Niles-Cortland Road.
Fall harvest party
WARREN
Warren Family Mission will have a fall harvest party for kids age 2 to 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at its Elm Road location, 361 Elm.
Snack and treat bags will be provided to each child. There will be a puppet show and clown performance.
The mission asks that no costumes be worn because the harvest party is an alternative to Halloween.
The mission will accept candy donations for the event. More than 700 children attended last year’s event. For more information, call 330-394-5437.
Produce for needy
Warren
The Salvation Army, 270 Franklin St. SE, will have a surplus of produce to give to the public at 1 p.m. Thursday. Three pallets of various produce will be received from Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley to help individuals in need. Produce will begin to be given out Thursday and continue Friday until there is none left.
Individuals should bring a photo ID when picking up the produce.
