Pa. men indicted on federal gun charges

YOUNGSTOWN — A federal grand jury has indicted two western Pennsylvania residents on charges of being felons in possession of firearms and interstate transportation of stolen property.

Billy Harris Gray Jr., 44, of Enon Valley, and Troy Dennis Hockenberry, 29, of Ellwood City, possessed seven shotguns and three rifles, all stolen, and illegally transported them from Pennsylvania to Ohio on Sept. 1, the indictment says.

The case was investigated by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and Youngstown police under Operation VGRIP (Violence Gun Reduction and Interdiction Program), and it is being prosecuted by David M. Toepfer, the Youngstown-based assistant U.S. Attorney.
