Austintown Senior Center, 100 Westchester Drive, has planned the following: Monday, Walking Club at 9 a.m., blood pressure checks and painting class ($5) at 9:30, bingo at 10, lunch at 11:30 and intermediate computer at noon; Tuesday, computer practice at 9:30 a.m., Veterans Helping Veterans and Zumba class at 10, bridge club at 10:30, lunch at 11:30, bingo at noon and Dinner Club, potluck covered dish, at 6 p.m. (set-up volunteers needed); Wednesday, Walking Club and health insurance information at 9 a.m., bingo at 10 and lunch at 11:30; Thursday, yoga and balance class at 9:30 a.m., lunch at 11:30 and bingo at noon; and Friday, Walking Club and bingo at 9 a.m., discussion group at 10 and beginners computer class at noon. The trip to Rogers Flea Market leaves at 9 a.m. Friday. The center is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. Guardian Angels of Ohio, a volunteer guardianship program of the Trumbull County Probate Court, is looking for new volunteers. The next monthly meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 1 at Perkins Family Restaurant, 1953 Niles-Cortland Road SE. The angels reach out in friendship to people who are elderly and alone in Trumbull County by providing trained, qualified volunteers to serve as advocates. Trumbull County Senior Court AARP Driver’s Safety Program will provide a class on the topics of Senior Defensive Driving, Safe Driving Strategies, Knowing Our Roads and Highways and Understanding Our Vehicles from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Lordstown SCOPE Senior Center. There also is a free senior driver’s safety program for veterans and their spouses.
