MAHONING COUNTY

Easter Seals offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays at eight locations in Mahoning County for people 60 or older and their spouses, regardless of age. Reservations are required three days in advance. Transportation is available for those 60 or older; call 330-884-2511 to set up. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Home-delivered meals are also available for seniors homebound due to illness, injury or handicap.

Wednesday, Oct. 26: Beefsteak patty, ketchup, baked potato, sour cream, peas, unsweetened pears, wheat bread with margarine, orange iced cookie or sugar-free cookie, and milk.

Thursday, Oct. 27: Glazed chicken patty, ketchup, spudsters, broccoli, orange, bread with honey, star crunch cookie or sugar-free cookie, and milk.

Friday, Oct. 28: Breaded fish, hamburger bun, tartar sauce, french green beans, sliced carrots, unsweetened applesauce, margarine, gelatin and milk.

Saturday, Oct. 29: Turkey breast and cheese, hamburger bun, mustard, tossed salad, carrot-raisin salad, unsweetened fruit cocktail, low-calorie Italian dressing, cookie or sugar-free cookie, and milk.

Monday, Oct. 31: Barbecue chicken strips, winter blend vegetables, sliced carrots, diced pears, pumpkin cookie or sponge cake, bread and jelly, and milk.

Tuesday, Nov. 1: Manicotti with sauce, Normandy blend vegetables, peas, Italian bread, chocolate cupcake or angel food cake, diced peaches and milk.

TRUMBULL COUNTY

The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers older people a well-balanced meal and an opportunity to share fellowship weekdays at 12 locations in Trumbull County. Reservations must be made two working days in advance. Any person 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or over is eligible to attend. There is no income requirement. The suggested donation is $1.50 per meal.

Wednesday, Oct. 26: Chicken fingers with barbecue sauce, potato spudsters, broccoli cuts, wheat bread with margarine, grape juice, orange cupcake or angel food cake, and milk

Thursday, Oct. 27: Macaroni and cheese, stewed tomatoes, lima beans, white bread with margarine, mixed fruit and milk.

Friday, Oct. 28: Hamburger on a bun with ketchup and mustard, cheesy mashed potatoes, baby whole carrots, mandarin oranges, and milk.

Monday, Oct. 31: Porcupine meatballs with sauce, mashed potatoes, buttered cabbage, wheat bread with margarine, pineapple, and milk.

Tuesday, Nov. 1: Steak burger with mushrooms, peas, Mexicorn, Diamond Jim bun, applesauce and milk.
