Lynn hospitalized with pneumonia
ASHLAND, Ky.
A Kentucky theater says Loretta Lynn has been hospitalized with pneumonia.
The country singer was scheduled to perform Saturday at the Performing Arts Center in Ashland, Ky., but the center issued a release saying she is in the hospital and will be unable to do the concert. The center says the show will be rescheduled.
Marketing director Jenny Holmes confirmed the statement to WOWK-TV. She didn’t elaborate on Lynn’s condition.
Calls by The Associated Press to representatives of Lynn were not immediately returned Saturday.
In August, Lynn canceled shows because of knee surgery. Before that, the 76-year-old returned to live performances with a show at the Grand Ole Opry after being forced to cancel shows in Ohio and Connecticut because she was hospitalized for heat exhaustion.

Former SC governor hired by Fox News
COLUMBIA, S.C.
Former South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford is joining Fox News as a political commentator through the 2012 presidential elections, a Fox spokeswoman confirmed Saturday.
The network spokeswoman told The Associated Press the two-term Republican governor has been hired as a contributor, though she declined to give any details on his pay or when he would start.
Sanford was a rising political star before he vanished from the state for five days in 2009, and reporters were told he was hiking the Appalachian Trail. When he reappeared, the father of four admitted to being in Argentina with a woman he later called his soul mate.
‘Survivor’ fan favorite to run for governor
INDIANAPOLIS
Rupert Boneham won over TV viewers during 2004’s “Survivor: All-Stars” — earning a nifty $1 million as the overwhelming choice for fan favorite. Now the bushy-bearded, tie-dye-wearing Boneham is hoping Indiana voters will find him just as charming.
Boneham, 47, announced Saturday that he’s seeking the Libertarian Party nomination for Indiana governor, saying he wants to take on the state’s political establishment because he feels voters deserve better.
Boneham said he’s the best candidate to replace Republican Gov. Mitch Daniels, who has reached his term limit and can’t run next year, because he’s “not beholden to any special interests.”
