Loved ones mark Kemeskys’ 65th at dinner party

Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Kemesky of Austintown celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Sept. 14 at a family dinner at Caff Capri in Boardman.

Hostesses for the event were their daughter Patricia Van Dyke, granddaughter Jessica Blount and friend of the family Pat Moore. Another granddaughter, Heather Hoover of Mansfield, couldn’t attend because she had just given birth to a daughter, which makes the third for her and her husband, Jason Hoover, and the third great-granddaughter for the Kemeskys.

Mr. Kemesky served in the Navy during World War II aboard the USS Achernar, which participated in the invasions of Normandy, southern France and Okinawa.

He worked for Truscon Division of Republic Steel and LTV for 40 years before retiring in 1982.

Margaret Kemesky was a dispatcher for 15 years for PepsiCola in Youngstown before she retired in 1983.
