Family honors Sciortinos’ 60th

CANFIELD

Alberini’s Restaurant in Niles was the setting for a dinner Sept. 17 honoring Eleanor J. and John L. Sciortino of Canfield for their 60th wedding anniversary.

The couple’s children hosted the event: David J. Sciortino of Franklin, Mass.; Ned J. Sciortino of Corona, Calif.; Nancy J. Sciortino of Signa Hill, Calif.; and Joan (Sciortino) Dubiel of Boardman. Another son, John L. Sciortino Jr., is deceased. The Sciortinos’ family also comprises nine grandchildren.

Also attending the dinner was son-in-law John Dubiel and three grandchildren, Leslie Dubiel, John Dubiel Jr., and Renee Dubiel.

The couple were married Sept. 15, 1951, at St. Dominic Church, Youngstown.

The Sciortinos are members of St. Christine Church.

Mrs. Sciortino, the former Eleanor J. Timko, is a homemaker.

Mr. Sciortino retired in 1995 as vice president of Commercial Intertech in Youngstown.

He served in the Army Transportation Corps.
