Watch local sky-ballers play Sunday morning on TV

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown Ballers of Sky Ball League, created by area native Brian Kessler, will play a semi-final game against Austin Starz.

The episode will be shown at 11:30 Sunday morning on WYFX-TV.

If Youngstown wins, it will move on to the championship round on Oct. 30.

Among the Ballers on the team are three Mahoning Valley residents — Danny Aldish, 27, of Struthers; Nick Dean, 19, of Girard, and Jason Martin 27, of Struthers.

Sky Ball is a mix of professional sports and “American Idol.” Sports-wise, it combines the characteristics of basketball, baseball and volleyball.
