Skyball team will play in semifinals

LOS ANGELES

The Youngstown Ballers will battle the Austin Starz in Sky Ball League’s semi-finals at 11:30 a.m. Sunday on Fox. If the Ballers win, they will go on to compete against the Los Angeles 405s in the title game for a $40,000 purse. The MVP will receive an additional $5,000.

The Ballers lineup includes Danny Aldish from Struthers, Nickolas Dean from Girard, and Jason Martin of Youngstown.

Sky Ball League was created by Brian Kessler of Boardman, who developed the Sky Ball, and sports executive Danny Swartz. The game is a combination of basketball and lacrosse played on a court.
