The series begins with a journey to Neverland in Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s “Peter Pan” at the Benedum Center at 2 p.m. next Saturday.

The performance follows the story line of the mischievous Peter Pan and his sidekick Tinker Bell on a fantastic adventure featuring the Darling children, the Lost Boys, the dastardly Captain Hook and his arch nemesis, the Crocodile.

Attendees also will have the opportunity to experience an insider’s look at how the ballet’s whimsical costumes are created through a preshow presentation.

Giacomo Puccini’s melodrama “Tosca,” subtitled “Love and Sacrifice,” is the potent tale of an opera diva who defies the most powerful and corrupt man in Rome in both life and death.

The performance at 8 p.m. March 24 at the Benedum Center resonates with audiences and remains one of Puccini’s most popular works. Angela Brown will make her debut with the Pittsburgh Opera as Tosca; Hugo Vera also debuts as Cavarodossi.
