Warren man indicted for Social Security fraud
CLEVELAND — A 54-year-old Warren man has been charged with Social Security fraud for allegedly stealing $46,215 in retirement benefits issued in the name of his father after his father’s death, the U.S. Attorney said today.
A federal grand jury indictment alleges Robert Earl Patch took the benefits, to which he was not entitled, and converted them to his own use between October 2007 and July 2010 after failing to report his father’s death on Sept. 17, 2007. The case was investigated by the Social Security Administration.
