Shepherd of the Valley Poland had something fun to offer to every member of the family during their second annual Family Fall Fest and Craft Show on Sept. 24.

Event organizer Elida Cowles said that the event only became bigger and better in its second year.

“This is our way to reach out to the community, so we’re always looking to improve. This year, we took advantage of our space and offered a bounce-around, music, and face-painting outside. As for next year, we’re already looking for ways to expand and offer plenty of fun,” said Cowles.

Inside the Poland facility, craft vendors selling their ornaments, knitting, painting, cards, and other products mingled with Shepherd residents and guests.

Vendor Jean Lagore was proud to show off her crafts, which included magnets, paintings, stained glass, and knitting. “Crafting is a relaxing way to spend my time now that I’m retired,” explained Lagore. “Today has been wonderful. All of the vendors and customers are friendly, and the artistic talent shown by my fellow crafters has been great.”
