Canfield Superintendent Dante Zambrini retires

Canfield Schools Superintendent Dante Zambrini will retire at the end of the 2011-2012 school year.

Zambrini made the announcement during Wednesday’s school board meeting and said in a news release, “It’s only appropriate that the Canfield Board of Education be given ample time to conduct a selective and thorough search.”

Zambrini spent his 36-year career with the Canfield district as a teacher, administrator and superintendent, according to the news release.

He said he hopes the board has a new superintendent in place by summer, so that he can assist with summer assignments and help smooth the new leader’s transition into the district.
