Annual Zombie Crawl set for downtown Saturday

The annual Zombie Crawl will shuffle off at 6:45 p.m. Saturday.

Hundreds of people dressed as the walking dead will depart from the Anthony’s on the River Parking lot on Oak Hill Avenue, near the Mahoning Avenue Bridge. The herd will cross the bridge and head down West Federal Street to Central Square.

A number of participating downtown-area nightspots will be open for zombie crawl parties: The Royal Oaks, The MVR, Cafe Cimmento, Buffalo Wild Wings, Barley’s, Downtown 36, Old Precinct, Imbibe, The Lemon Grove, Club Exclusive, Box Car Lounge, The Draught House and Inner Circle.

Registration for the Zombie Crawl will begin at 2 p.m. at Anthony’s on the River, where makeup artists will be available. The fee is $3 and includes free shuttle-bus rides all night to the various bars as well as food and drink specials.
