Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a chicken dinner from 11:30 to 1 p.m. at the church. THURSDAY
Woodworth Church of the Brethren, 30 E. Western Reserve Road, Poland, will sell takeout meatloaf dinners from 3:30 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will serve the following meals from 3 to 7 p.m.: all-you-can-eat fried fish with french fries or macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; chicken with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; or shrimp with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage. Heartland Christian School’s freshman class will host an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner and silent auction in the school’s dining commons from 4 to 7 p.m. The menu includes meatballs, tossed salad or applesauce, rolls and butter, dessert and a beverage. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi, while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.
Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. Cost is $5 a dozen. SATURDAY
Brookfield United Methodist Church, 6951 Grove St., Brookfield, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. For ticket information call 330-448-1001. On the menu is all-you-can eat spaghetti, meatballs, salad bar, bread and butter, a beverage and dessert. The donation is $7 for adults and $3 for children 6 to 12. Takeouts will be available beginning at 3:30.
First United Brethren Church, 1900 Eastbrook Road, New Castle, Pa., will serve a soup and sandwich luncheon from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Soup choices are wedding, vegetable, stuffed pepper, ham and bean, chicken noodle and chili by the quart, pint or bowl. Hot dogs, ham barbecue, desserts and beverages also will be available.
Youngstown Community Food Center and Gleaners Bank is having a fundraising spaghetti dinner from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Shrine of Our Lady, Comforter of the Afflicted, 517 S. Belle Vista Ave. Meals include salad, bread, dessert and a beverage for $6 for adults and $3 for children. Takeouts are available. Also featured at the fundraiser will be a basket auction.

St. Charles Church, 7345 Westview Drive, Boardman, will be the site of a spaghetti dinner hosted by the Knights of Columbus Father Venglaric Council 11915 between 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. in the church hall. The dinner will be a joint venture with Men and Women United for Life. Dinners offered are spaghetti and meatballs for $7 and chicken Parmesan for $8.

All proceeds will benefit the church’s repair fund to pay for the elevator and restoration of the stained glass windows.

Happy Hearts Junior Tamburitzans will take orders until Nov. 9 for homemade apple or cheese strudels for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The frozen strudels are $8 each and come with baking instructions.
