Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a chicken dinner from 11:30 to 1 p.m. at the church. Cortland United Methodist Church, 155 N. High St., Cortland, will have a drive-through pasta dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. Meals include meatballs, salad, bread and a surprise treat for dessert. Pricetown United Methodist Church, 4640 Pritchard-Ohltown Road, Newton Falls, will have a home-cooked supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The meal will consist of an individual chicken pot pie, pirogi, potatoes, salad, roll, homemade desserts and beverage. Cost is $7 for adults, $3 for children 6 to 12 and free for those 5 and under. Carryouts will be available.

THURSDAY

Woodworth Church of the Brethren, 30 E. Western Reserve Road, Poland, will sell takeout meatloaf dinners from 3:30 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. FRIDAY

American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will serve the following meals from 3 to 7 p.m.: all-you-can-eat fried fish with french fries or macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; chicken with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; or shrimp with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage. Heartland Christian School’s freshman class will host an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner and silent auction in the school’s dining commons from 4 to 7 p.m. The menu includes meatballs, tossed salad or applesauce, rolls and butter, dessert and a beverage. Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi, while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will be selling potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $5 a dozen. Orders should be placed early from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday and 9:30-11 a.m. Friday at 330-746-9528. and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Hot Lunches will be available beginning at 11 a.m. Friday.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $5 per bag of one dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. Cost is $5 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $4.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $5.50 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Walk-in orders will be available. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

SATURDAY

Brookfield United Methodist Church, 6951 Grove St., Brookfield, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. For ticket information call 330-448-1001. On the menu is all-you-can eat spaghetti, meatballs, salad bar, bread and butter, a beverage and dessert. The donation is $7 for adults and $3 for children 6 to 12. Takeouts will be available beginning at 3:30.

First United Brethren Church, 1900 Eastbrook Road, New Castle, Pa., will serve a soup and sandwich luncheon from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Soup choices are wedding, vegetable, stuffed pepper, ham and bean, chicken noodle and chili by the quart, pint or bowl. Hot dogs, ham barbecue, desserts and beverages also will be available.

Youngstown Community Food Center and Gleaners Bank is having a fundraising spaghetti dinner from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Shrine of Our Lady, Comforter of the Afflicted, 517 S. Belle Vista Ave. Meals include salad, bread, dessert and a beverage for $6 for adults and $3 for children. Takeouts are available. Also featured at the fundraiser will be a basket auction.

SUNDAY

Christ Our Savior Holy Trinity Church, 250 N. Bridge St., Struthers, will serve stuffed cabbage dinners from noon to 4 p.m. in the parish hall. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children under 12. Takeouts will be offered; take your own containers. For more information call 330-755-2115.

Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, Austintown, will serve a pork and kraut dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The cost is $8.50 for adults and $5 for children, and includes dessert and coffee, tea or pop. Takeouts will be available.

St. Charles Church, 7345 Westview Drive, Boardman, will be the site of a spaghetti dinner hosted by the Knights of Columbus Father Venglaric Council 11915 between 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. in the church hall. The dinner will be a joint venture with Men and Women United for Life. Dinners offered are spaghetti and meatballs for $7 and chicken Parmesan for $8.

St. John Lutheran Church, 1429 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, will serve roast pork dinners beginning at 11:30 a.m. Meals include mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, salad, bread and butter, dessert and coffee, tea, water or pop. Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church, 252 E. Wood St., Youngstown, is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner after the 10:30 a.m. Mass. Serving will be from 11:30 to 2 p.m. The cost for adults is $6.50, and children 12 and under cost $4.50. All proceeds will benefit the church’s repair fund to pay for the elevator and restoration of the stained glass windows.

Sulmona Valley Club, 92 S. Bridge St., Struthers, will serve spaghetti and meatballs, salad and dessert from noon to 4 p.m. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children. Takeouts are available.

TAKING ORDERS

Calvary United Methodist Church, corner of state routes 164 and 165 in North Lima, is taking orders for homemade apple dumplings. To place an order call the church at 330-549-2588, leave your name, quantity wanted, whether you want it baked or unbaked, and your phone number. Your order will be confirmed. Happy Hearts Junior Tamburitzans will take orders until Nov. 9 for homemade apple or cheese strudels for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The frozen strudels are $8 each and come with baking instructions.
