Canfield Township plans to start leaf-collection program Monday

The township will sponsor a fall leaf-collection program Monday through Nov. 3.
Township residents can pick up five free paper bags at township hall, 21 S. Broad St., from noon to 4 p.m. today, 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday and noon to 4 p.m. Thursday.
Additional bags can be purchased in quantities of five for $2, according to a news release.
The township is divided into four quadrants for the purposes of the pickup:
The northwest quadrant, north of U.S. Route 224 and west of state Route 46, will be picked up Mondays, Oct. 24 and Oct. 31.
The northeast quardrant, north of Route 224 and east of state Route 46, will be picked up Tuesdays, Oct. 25 and Nov. 1.
The southeast quadrant, south of 224 and east of 46, will be picked up Wednesdays, Oct. 26 and Nov. 2.
The southwest quadrant, south of 224 and west of 46, will be picked up Thursdays, Oct. 27 and Nov. 3.
Collections are between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Residents must have their leaves in the paper bags at the curb on the assigned day of pickup no later than 8 a.m.
