Girl found dead

WARREN

A Warren girl whose mother reported her missing to the Warren Police Department twice in the past 10 months was found dead in Charlotte, N.C., on Saturday.

Aerial L. Patterson, 17, was found dead in the yard of a vacant home. Police said they believe Patterson was killed Friday night after her friend dropped her off at a house.

Her friend told police Patterson was supposed to meet someone she didn’t know. A family member told news media in North Carolina that Patterson had a habit of traveling places to meet people she had met on the Internet. Police have charged Eddie Doh, 23, of Charlotte, with killing Patterson.

A Warren police report from Dec. 1, 2010, said Patterson’s mother, Vontisue Patterson, 34, reported the girl missing.

Warren police helped bring the girl back to Ohio after locating her on a Greyhound bus near Charleston, W.Va. Vontisue Patterson also reported Aerial Patterson missing April 10 this year, saying her daughter had disappeared overnight.
