Computers seized in sex investigation

The Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office seized computers and other items from a house on Clermont Avenue Northeast that deputies believe were used by the male resident to solicit sex and engage in sexual conversations with a minor.

An affidavit for a search warrant filed in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court says the minor, who lives in Jefferson County, was caught by his mother engaging in explicit sexual conversations with an adult male.

Using Facebook, a Jefferson County police officer identified the adult involved as a Clermont Avenue man. In interviews, the man admitted engaging in inappropriate sexual communications with children, including the Jefferson County minor, the affidavit said.
