Trumbull County deputies investigating man for soliciting sex with minors

WARREN — The Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office has seized computers and other items from a house on Clermont Avenue Northeast that deputies believe were used by the male resident to solicit sex and engage in sexual conversations with a minor.

An affidavit for a search warrant filed in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court says the minor, who lives in Jefferson County, Ohio, was caught by his mother engaging in explicit sexual conversations with an adult male.

Using Facebook, a Jefferson County police officer identified the adult involved as a Clermont Avenue man.

In interviews, the man admitted to engaging in inappropriate sexual communications with children, including the Jefferson County minor, the affidavit said. The computers and other items were seized Friday with the search warrant secured with the affidavit.
