YFWC plans luncheon as scholarship fundraiser

Youngstown Area Federation of Women’s Clubs Inc., affiliated with both the Ohio and General Federation of Women’s Clubs Inc., will have its annual luncheon and fashion show Wednesday at the Holiday Inn.

The event is a fundraiser for scholarships.

“Pride of America” is the theme for this year’s event, which will begin at 11:30 a.m. After the luncheon, a style show of classic styles and formal wear will begin. Musical performances will be by Jack Ciarniello and Jim McClellan. Special vocalist will be Amanda Beagle, former Miss Ohio.

Barbara Higgins is chairwoman for the event, and co-chairs are Valorie Zurawick, scholarship committee chair, and Lee Bowden. Member of the committee are Suzanne Brown, Cathy Campana, Linda Crish, Yvonne Ford, Patty Higgins, Debra Kostelic and Rusti Puromaki.
