Vienna-based Millwood Inc., a worldwide industry leader and innovator of unit-load and packaging systems, materials and services, recently hired Ralph Rupert as manager of unit-load technology. Rupert will work with local, regional and national sales representatives to reduce customers’ packing expenses. He’ll also work with the engineering group at Liberty Technologies to design handling and packaging systems. Rupert previously was the director at The Center for Unit Load Design at Virginia Tech. He’s also an author and expert on pallet design and corrugated and plastic packaging materials.

The Farmers National Bank North Canton office recently announced the hiring of David Roberts as the bank’s new vice president, Commercial Lending Relationship manager. He will focus on the Akron-Canton market. Roberts most recently held the position of vice president, commercial banking and business development at The Citizens Bank. He began as a credit analyst in 1983 and since has held positions in private banking, commercial lending, wealth management and business development.

Hill, Barth & King LLC, certified public accountants and business consultants, recently announced the addition of Steven Franckhauser as director of HBK Energy. Franckhauser, an attorney whose practice has focused on business and energy law, will consult with the firm’s existing and future clients in the oil and gas industry and work with their attorneys, accountants and financial planners. He is an adjunct professor at both the Duquesne University School of Law and Pennsylvania State University’s Beaver Campus. He is a native of Steubenville.

Two agents with Real Living Volpini Realty Group in Poland were awarded the Ohio Association of Realtors President’s Sales Club Awards in recognition of last year’s sales totals.

Patti Helmick, who works at the Trumbull County office of Real Living Volpini, received the OAR President’s Sales Club Award of Distinction for more than $2.5 million in sales.

Marisa Volpini, who works at the Mahoning County office of Real Living Volpini, received the OAR President’s Sales Club Award of Achievement for more than $1 million in sales.
