Bedas and family celebrate couple’s 65th anniversary

The Holiday Inn in Boardman was the setting for the 65th anniversary celebration of Harold and Eleanor Beda of Clearwater, formerly of Girard and New Middletown.

Hosting the dinner celebration, for which invitations were extended, were the couple’s daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Michael Moliterno of Girard.

Another daughter, Alice Yiannaki, and her husband, Andy, live in Raleigh, N.C. The Bedas also are the parents of the late Elaine Sandy. Rounding out their family are seven grandchildren.

Mrs. Beda retired in 1985 from J.C. Penney Co. in Youngstown, where she was employed as personnel supervisor. She belongs to the Order of Eastern Star.

Mr. Beda retired in 1984 as a crew foreman from Ohio Edison Co. in Youngstown. He is a member of Girard Masonic Lodge, Niles York Rite, Shrine Club of Youngstown and Aut Mori Grotto. He served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1949.

Mr. Beda and the former Eleanor Stickle McKinley were married in 1946 at Amity Presbyterian Church in Dravosburg, Pa.

The Bedas are members of Niles Presbyterian Church.
