YSU leads Southern Illinois 28-23

Playing perhaps their best quarter of the season, the YSU football team scored three touchdowns to take a 28-23 lead over Southern Illinois in Saturday's Missouri Valley game in Carbondale, Ill.

Trailing 17-7 at halftime, the Penguins got a pair of TD passes from Kurt Hess and a 2-yard TD run by Jamaine Cook and blocked the extra point on SIU's lone TD.
