Warren YWCA hosts basketball tourney, career fair Oct. 22

WARREN — The YWCA Warren, in partnership with the Warren Police Athletic League and Warren WEED & SEED, is having a free basketball tournament and career fair at 6 p.m. Oct. 22 at the Warren G. Harding High School gymnasium.

The tournament is open to boys and girls in grades nine to 12 as an alternative to violence. Individuals and teams of five may enter. Members of the winning boys and girls teams will receive an iPod Shuffle.

Representatives from local universities, colleges, trade or technical schools, and labor unions will be on hand to talk with students about the programs they offer. Refreshments will be provided.
