“Sunday Morning with Dee” (8 a.m. Sunday on WKBN-TV 27): Host Dee Crawford’s guests will be Marilyn J. McDaniels, executive director and CEO of Mahoning-Youngstown Community Action Partnership, and Jamael Tito Brown, chairman of the group’s board. They will discuss MYCAP’s new programs, which include the Center for Family Economic Success and the Healthy Local Foods initiative.
“Community Connection” (7 a.m. Sunday on 21 WFMJ-TV and 10 a.m. Tuesday on Time Warner Cable community access channel): The Mahoning County Veterans Services Commission has numerous programs available to veterans, including a new burial benefit and utilities reimbursement program. Sue Cargill of the commission will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to outline the process for applying, deadlines and eligibility rules.
Next, Terri Bryant and Tina Milner of the Mahoning Valley Task Force on Crime and Violence Prevention will discuss the 15th annual Peace Awards Banquet at which former Youngstown Mayor Pat Ungaro will be honored.
Finally, Tricia Perry of the Rich Center for Autism will discuss the Masquerade for Autism fundraiser at Antone’s Banquet Center. Proceeds from the event will benefit the students enrolled in the center.
