Kokrak has Nationwide lead

MIAMI

Warren JFK graduate Jason Kokrak leads the Nationwide Tour’s Miccosukee Championship at Miccosukee Golf & Country Club after the third round.

The 26-year-old Kokrak has a 3-shot lead 198 total going into Sunday’s final round. Matt Every is next with 201. Kokrak’s round on Saturday was 69.

A short putt that whirled around the lip of the cup and out again on the 18th hole was the worst occurrence of the day for Kokrak, who could be a two-time winner within a month’s time.

“I’ll be out to make it up on [today] as long as I play solid golf,” he said. “I’ll be OK tomorrow.”
