Chapter CE of PEO Sisterhood will meet Wednesday at A La Cart in Canfield for a noon lunch and meeting. A program on historical wall quilts will be presented by Caroline Martens. Hostesses will be Ruth Williams and Karen Dennison.
Kent State Mothers Club will meet at noon Wednesday at Lucianno’s, 1739 S. Raccoon Road, Austintown. The program will be a home products demonstration by Flo Vulich. That Quilt Group I Belong To will have its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Fair Park, Canfield. The program will be show and tell, with members taking prize-winning quilts from the Canfield Fair and Stan Hywet Show. Youngstown Torch Club will have a dinner meeting at 6 p.m. Monday in Bresnahan Suites I and II in Kilcawley Center, on the campus of Youngstown State University. The speaker will be Janet Moy-LaMonica, retired director of the Henderson Memorial Public Library in Jefferson, Ohio, who will discuss her use of hypnosis to effect a pain-free recovery from double hip replacement surgery. Wilmington Township, Mercer County, Civic League meeting Tuesday will feature as speaker Judge Thomas Dobson of the Mercer County Court of Common Pleas. The meeting will be at the township building, 35 Auction Road, at 7:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
