Spirit Day planned in Weathersfield

MINERAL RIDGE

The Eighth Annual Community Spirit Day Parade will begin at 2 p.m. Oct. 30 on state Route 46 at Ohltown-McDonald Road.

The parade travels Route 46 to Stewart Street, next to the middle school.

Those interested in participating in the parade should contact Kim Rouan at the Weathersfield Local Schools superintendent’s office at 330-652-0287, Ext. 1001, or return a registration slip before Oct. 26.

Participants will include the high school band, sports teams with their own floats, The Fun-Time Cloggers of Diamond, Ohio, and any other community organizations or residents who wish to be involved. The parade is not limited to community residents or groups. A Powder Puff football game will take place after the parade at the high school .

The Firemen’s Association will sponsor a chicken dinner for eat-in or carry-out at the Mineral Ridge Fire Station 41 on Route 46 starting after the parade until 6 p.m.
