Police: Wanted woman gave wanted sister’s name
YORK, Pa. (AP) — A woman is accused of giving her sister’s name to police during a traffic stop only to be taken into custody because her sibling was also wanted.
State police say 34-year-old Neya Chance was wanted on two warrants when she was pulled over Wednesday afternoon. Investigators say Chance had no identification but gave the officer the name of her sister.
But police say Chance’s sister also had an outstanding warrant and Chance gave her real name after being taken into custody and realizing her ruse had failed.
Online court records show a Chance has a long history of traffic and other minor offenses.
