Md. cops find slain woman’s car, son still missing
GERMANTOWN, Md. (AP) — Police in Maryland say a car belonging to a slain woman whose 11-year-old son is missing has been found unoccupied.
Montgomery County police spokesman Officer Rebecca Innocenti says police won’t reveal where the vehicle was recovered Thursday since the boy remains missing and the investigation is active.
Police say they found 51-year-old Jane McQuain dead in her bedroom in Germantown around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Investigators say there was trauma to her body.
Maryland State Police have issued an Amber Alert for McQuain’s 11-year-old son William. Authorities say he was last seen at the home on Sept. 30. Police believe he was abducted.
