Man sought in Newton Falls robbery

NEWTON FALLS

A warrant for felony robbery has been issued for the arrest of Raymond G. Sugar, 28, of West Middletown Road, Canfield, in connection with an attempted robbery at the Pamida store, 2300 Milton Blvd.

Sugar is suspected of being one of two people — one male, one female — who allegedly took video games from the store at 7:36 p.m. Sept. 26.

Police said store personnel confronted the two regarding the video games, and one of the two held a can of pepper spray to the face of an employee and threatened to spray him.

The employee grabbed the video games, valued at $540, and the suspects fled in a black Pontiac with foil over the license plate, police said. An employee removed the foil and obtained a license plate number.

Anyone with information on Sugar is asked to call the Newton Falls Police Department at 330-872-5757.
